So, I registered for next semester’s classes. As usual, I got sucked into the library and it spit me out an hour and 5 books later.
I thought I’d get a couple books for my creative writing class. Books about journalism, reporting, scandals in the journalism world.
This one, Writing for Others, Writing for Ourselves by Jerry Lanson, is written about his experiences as a professor, reporter and blogger. Lanson has coached reporters at many newspapers and writes in several different areas.
I chose this book because it’s a book about nonfiction storytelling and includes Lanson’s techniques to beat writer’s block and hone your skills.
I’m hoping this book will provide me with inspiration for my writing and help me branch out into different ways of writing creative nonfiction.
Wish me luck!
